SCHEMES TO DOUBLE FARMERS INCOME
460. SHRI DEVJI M. PATEL:
Will the Minister of AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE be pleased to state:
(a) the details of the schemes being proposed/ implemented by the Government to double the income of farmers by 2022 using technology, especially in Rajasthan;
(b) whether such schemes would include financial assistance for the purchase of livestock like cows, other related things for sheds of cows and for production of manure; and
(c) if so, the details of the amounts allocated to the farmers for the last three years, especially for the State of Rajasthan?
ANSWER: MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE (SHRI NARENDRA SINGH TOMAR)
(a) The Government is implementing various schemes using modern technology for sustainable growth in agriculture sector, including in the State of Rajasthan. Some of these interventions in this direction are:
(i) Creation of a network of 721 Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) for dissemination of knowledge and information about modern technology etc.
(ii) Initiatives under Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Scheme like Extension Reforms, Mass Media Support to Agricultural Extension, Kisan Call Centres, Agri-Clinics and Agri-Business Centres, Exhibitions/ Fairs etc.
(iii) Sub Mission on Agricultural Mechanization (SMAM).
(iv) Promotion of Agricultural Mechanization for In-Situ Management of Crop Residue in the States of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and NCT of Delhi
(v) National Agriculture e-Market platform (e-NAM) has been established
(vi) Soil Health Card (SHC) Scheme
(vii) Per Drop More Crop (PDMC)
(viii) Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture
(ix) Promotion of 10,000 FPOs.
(b) No sir.
(c) Details of scheme-wise and State-wise fund allocation, including the State of Rajasthan , for last three years is at Annexure.
