WR RUNS MORE THAN 440 TRIPS OF 24 PAIRS OF SUMMER SPECIAL TRAINS TO VARIOUS DESTINATIONS
Indian Railways plays a major role in bringing people closer from all the corners of the country and helps in connecting them from one place to another. Western Railway, is always on the forefront for providing better connectivity & convenience to the passengers. Be it during summer vacations or during the festive season, WR takes all possible efforts to run additional special trains and augment additional coaches with a view to meet the increased travel demand during such times. This summer vacation period, Western Railway is running 24 pairs of Summer Special trains to various destinations.
According to a press release issued by Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, as on date 24 pairs of Summer Special trains with 442 trips have been notified by WR to meet the extra demand, as well as for the convenience of passengers. Out of these, 10 pairs of train caters to the states of Uttar Pradesh & Bihar, while there are 4 pairs of trains for Delhi & beyond. Five pairs of trains are being run to Rajasthan, while two trains are run to South. To cater to the passengers from Surat/ Udhna, 6 pairs of originating special trains are being run, while four pairs of originating trains are run from other stations of Gujarat such as Ahmedabad, Gandhidham & Okha. In addition to this, 03 pairs of festival special trains have been extended, out of which 02 pairs of train caters to the states of Uttar Pradesh & Bihar, while one is for Jabalpur. Also, the waiting list of trains are monitored daily on real time basis and additional coaches are augmented in the existing trains from time to time to clear the extra rush. Similarly, Special trains will also be planned accordingly.
Summer Special Trains on Western Railway
Western Railway plans to run 434 trips of 24 pairs of Summer Special Trains between various destinations during the summer vacation season in 2022. The details of these trains are as under:
