Supreme Court of India is declared that the following days are to be observed holidays for the calendar year 2022.

- New Year Holiday – January 1, 2022 – Saturday
- Local Holiday – January 13, 2022 – Thursday
- Makar Sankranti / Magha – January 14, 2022 – Friday
- Bihu / Pongal Republic Day – January 26, 2022 – Wednesday
- Maha Shivratri – March 1, 2022 – Tuesday
- Holi Holidays – March 17 to March 19, 2022 – Thursday to Saturday
- Mahavir Jayanti – April 14, 2022 – Thursday
- Good Friday – April 15, 2022 – Friday
- Id-ul-Fitr – May 3, 2022 – Tuesday
- Buddha Purnima – May 16, 2022 – Monday
- Muharram – August 9, 2022 – Tuesday
- Independence day – August 15, 2022 – Monday
- Janmashtami – August 19, 2022 – Friday
- Ganesh Chaturthi – August 31, 2022 – Wednesday
- Dussehra Holidays – October 3 to October 8, 2022 – Monday to Saturday
- Diwali Holidays – October 24 to October 29 – Monday to Saturday
- Guru Nanak’s Birthday – November 8, 2022 – Tuesday
- Christmas Holidays – December 19 to December 31, 2022 – Monday to Saturday
1. All Sundays are Holidays.
2. Id-ul-zuha (Bakrid), Mahatma Gandhi’s Birthday, Milad- un-Nabi or Id-e-Milad and Christmas Day which fall on Sunday, the 10th July; Sunday, the 2nd October; Sunday the 9th October and Sunday, the 25th December, 2022 respectively have not been shown separately as these fall during Summer Vacation and Sundays.
3. Holi, Dussehra and Diwali actually fall on Friday, the 18th March, Wednesday, the 5th October, Monday, the 24th October, 2022 respectively.
4. The Summer Vacation of the Court will commence on Monday, the 23rd May, 2022 and the Court will resume its sitting on Monday, the 11th July, 2022. The Summer Vacation is shaded in orange. The Registry of the Court will, however, be functioning throughout the vacation except on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. However, the Registry of the Court will remain open on last Saturday of the Summer Vacation i.e. 9th July, 2022.
5. Id-ul-Fitr, Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid), Muharram and Milad-un- Nabi or Id-e-Milad which fall on Tuesday, the 3rd May; Sunday, the 10th July; Tuesday, the 9th August and Sunday, the 9th October, 2022 respectively are subject to change depending upon the visibility of the Moon.
6. During the Christmas Holidays, the Registry will remain closed from Monday, the 26th December, 2022 to Saturday, the 31st December, 2022 (both days inclusive).
